  1. Migrant Workers: Nice job with images and nice looking slides, but far too much ‘reading the slides’. Also, the facts on your slides should be supported by sources... for example you did a nice job sourcing the BOCES Center; but other slides were without sources. When you don’t state your sources, how is your audience to know it can trust what you are saying. Nice try getting the audience involved, but did you really engage them (during the “Our Nation’s Invisible Population” section, or did you just bring people up on stage and then proceed to read facts off a slide? How could you have better used the volunteers who came up on stage? Also, not sure that the questions you posed actually sparked much conversation. I don’t think it’s a result of the subject matter, but rather perhaps the kinds of questions you asked. I also didn’t understand the relationship between the stress of writing an essay and working as a migrant worker. Again, the second time you brought volunteers on stage, you didn’t actually have them do anything but stand there. You ask the question “What can we do to help?”, but you don’t actually offer any solutions. What can we do? What organizations work for the rights of migrant workers? How could we get involved?
